News: Webb has been moved to wide receiver from quarterback for the Vikings, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. [+]
Impact: Webb played wide receiver his sophomore year at Alabama-Birmingham and began his pro career at receiver before being moved back to quarterback. It's not clear if he'll get much playing time as he'll be down on the depth chart, but it's possible the Vikings could design several plays for him since he's got impressive speed (4.44 in the 40-yard dash) and would be a threat for trick plays since he can throw. He'll also offer a quandary for many fantasy leagues since his position eligibility between QB and WR may be uncertain. ( RotoWire - Thu. May 16, 2013) |
News: The Minnesota Vikings have signed three more draft picks, including Locke of UCLA. [+]
Impact: The Vikings announced the signings on Wednesday. Locke was taken in the fifth round to replace longtime punter Chris Kluwe, who was released last week. ( STATS - Wed. May 15, 2013) |
News: McNabb says he will retire with the Philadelphia Eagles this fall. [+]
Impact: The six-time Pro Bowl quarterback led the Eagles to four NFC championship games and a Super Bowl loss in 11 seasons before he was traded to Washington in 2010. McNabb went 92-49-1 with the Eagles and holds franchise records for completions (2801), passing yards (32,873) and passing touchdowns (216). McNabb announced these plans on ESPN Radio 97.7 FM in Syracuse and later on his NBC Sports Radio show. ( STATS - Tue. May 14, 2013)

News: Hill underwent minor surgery on his left foot recently and is wearing a walking boot, the Detroit Free Press reports. [+]
Impact: With training camp still weeks away, Hill figures to be healthy in time to log the reps he needs to remain sharp. He'll once again reprise top backup duties behind Matthew Stafford this season. ( RotoWire - Fri. May 17, 2013) |
News: The Kansas City Chiefs have released Menzi, who spent all of last season on injured reserve, and reserve offensive lineman Lucas Patterson. [+]
Impact: Chiefs coach Andy Reid announced the moves Tuesday, shortly after the Chiefs finished off the first of their voluntary full-squad workouts. Menzie was a standout defensive back at Alabama, but missed most of the offseason program as a rookie because of a hamstring problem. He wound up on IR and never played in a game. ( STATS - Tue. May 14, 2013) |
News: The Detroit Lions have claimed linebacker Cory Greenwood and Hardman off waivers. [+]
Impact: Hardman started in four games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2010 and played in three games for them in each of the last two years. ( STATS - Tue. May 7, 2013)
