Patriots kings of the AFC again
Nobody beats Brady and Belichick in a big game, not even Big Ben.
Tom Brady and Bill Belichick were an unstoppable combination again for the New England Patriots, exposing all of the Steelers' weaknesses to end their 15-game winning streak and win the AFC Championship 41-27.
Brady gave the inexperienced Ben Roethlisberger a lesson in quarterbacking a championship game, throwing two touchdown passes, while the rookie threw three interceptions, including one that was returned 87 yards for a touchdown by Rodney Harrison.

News: Rashard Mendenhall had 21 carries for 80 yards and chipped in four receptions for 36 yards and a score in the Week 11 loss at Kansas City. [+]
Impact: The four receptions indicate that the second-year veteran is becoming a complete back before our very eyes. As the weather turns colder, look for the Steelers to lean more and more on Mendenhall. ( Fanball - Sun. Nov 22, 2009) |
News: Heath Miller had seven receptions for 85 yards and one touchdown in the Week 11 loss at Kansas City. [+]
Impact: In the previous three games, Miller had only compiled 13 receptions for 82 yards, so this was a very solid performance. Overall, he has been a top-10 tight end on the season, but Miller could be without his starting quarterback next week at Baltimore. ( Fanball - Sun. Nov 22, 2009) |
News: Hines Ward reeled in 10 receptions for 128 yards and a touchdown in the Week 11 loss at Kansas City [+]
Impact: This was the fourth 100-yard effort of 2009 for Ward, who has scored five touchdowns in the last six weeks. At 33 years of age, Ward has provided his owners with outstanding fantasy value this season, as the 12-year veteran is a No. 1 wideout in PPR leagues and a No. 2 in standard formats. ( Fanball - Sun.
