News: Wood was carted off the field in the second half Sunday with a left knee injury. [+]
Impact: It looked pretty serious, as he was down on the field for a long time and it just had that look of a season-ending injury as the players saw him off the field and wished him well. A line that's already messed up just got that much worse if the first-round pick has to miss considerable time. ( RotoWire - Nov 22, 2009) |
News: Owens had a monster day in Sunday's loss to the Jaguars, catching nine balls for 197 yards and a touchdown, the longest offensive play in Bills history. [+]
Impact: Given that Owens had a 26/366/1 line for the entire season prior to Sunday, this definitely constitutes a breakout performance. The Bills targeted him all afternoon, and we'd imagine new coach Perry Fewell will keep feeding Owens so long as he can keep getting open and doesn't start dropping numerous balls again. On his Twitter account, Owens was offering a trip and tickets to Buffalo's next game if anyone predicted his stats for the Jacksonville game. Let's just say we didn't hit the 9/197/1 line. ( RotoWire - Nov 22, 2009) |
News: Updating an earlier report, Eric Wood has a fractured tibia and fibula and is staying in Jacksonville tonight to undergo surgery, according to buffalobills.com. [+]
Impact: With six weeks left in the season its likely that Wood's injury will land him on injured reserve. ( Fanball - Sun. Nov 22, 2009)

News: Ray Rice had 20 carries for 71 yards and chipped in seven receptions for 64 yards in the Week 11 loss to Indianapolis. [+]
Impact: Rice, who is a top-five back in all formats, didn't hit paydirt but he continues to post outstanding yardage and reception digits. Next week, the Ravens face the Steelers, who field the top-ranked run defense in the league. ( Fanball - Sun. Nov 22, 2009) |
News: Derrick Mason compiled nine receptions for 142 yards in the Week 11 loss to Indianapolis. [+]
Impact: In the last two games, Mason has posted 12 receptions for 220 yards, and continues to represent a serviceable No. 2 receiver and an outstanding No. 3 in all formats. ( Fanball - Sun. Nov 22, 2009) |
News: Heap (chest) had just two receptions for 15 yards in Sunday's loss to Indianapolis. [+]
Impact: Joe Flacco put the ball in the air a good amount on Sunday, but most of his completions went to Derrick Mason and Ray Rice. Heap hasn't scored since Week 2, although he still remains a big part of Baltimore's offense. ( RotoWire - Nov 22, 2009)
