News: Ferguson (quad) was officially placed on IR on Monday, according to the Dolphins' Web site. [+]
Impact: Ferguson had to be carted off the field in the third quarter of Thursday's game versus Carolina, and speculation began soon after that it was season threatening. Ferguson is also a free agent after the season, though he has let it be known he will only sign with Miami. If the Dolphins no longer want him, then he will retire. ( RotoWire - Mon. Nov 23, 2009) |
News: Edgar Thompson of the Palm Beach Post reports that Jason Ferguson will be placed on injured reserve with a quad injury. [+]
Impact: It's the sixth player the Dolphins have had to put on IR this season, and he is the second team captain to be lost. Randy Starks and Tony McDaniel will try to fill his void at nose tackle ( Fanball - Mon. Nov 23, 2009) |
News: According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, there is a strong possibility that the Dolphins will place nose tackle Jason Ferguson on injured reserve. [+]
Impact: Ferguson went down with a knee injury in Thursday's game against the Panthers, and it appears he may be lost for the season. Considering the fact that he's 34-years-old and in the final year of his contract, he may decide to hang up the spikes after this season. Look for Randy Starks and Tony McDaniel to pick up the slack on the field. ( Fanball - Sun. Nov 22, 2009) | |
