His comments come after more than a month of saying he did not know what would happen. The NFL's most valuable player in 2006 has two years remaining on his contract. ( STATS - Thu. Feb 4, 2010) |

Jeff Webb (KC - WR) News: According to the National Football Post, the Ravens worked out former Chiefs receiver Jeff Webb last week. [+]
Impact: Webb, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Chiefs and has caught 36 career passes for 382 yards and a score. The Ravens desperately need a receiver, but Webb certainly doesn't seem like the answer. ( Fanball - Tue. Feb 9, 2010) |
News: The Chiefs released Rogers on Monday, the Chiefs' official site reports. [+]
Impact: Rogers was a special teams player who played in one game for the Chiefs before landing on injured reserve in December. ( RotoWire - Mon. Feb 8, 2010) |
News: Johnson finished the season with 37 tackles (30 solo), one sack and three interceptions. [+]
Impact: Johnson spent most of the year stuck in a backup role behind Demorrio Williams, logging just three starts all season. Aside from a couple of brief spurts (most notably his two INT returns for touchdowns in the Week 17 upset of Denver), the annual prediction of a "breakout season" for Johnson never transpired. Though the Chiefs' defense will likely have several moving pieces this offseason that could potentially shake up Johnson's role, he'll need to corral a starting job before he can be considered as an IDP.
