Packers strike late to beat Cutler, Bears Aaron Rodgers brought the Packers back late in the fourth quarter, heaving a 50-yard touchdown pass to Greg Jennings with 1:11 remaining to give Green Bay a 21-15 victory over the Chicago Bears in the season opener Sunday night.
Facing third-and-1 at the 50-yard line, Rodgers faked play action and heaved a rainbow of a throw deep to Jennings, who ran in for the go-ahead score. Rodgers found Jennings again for a 2-point conversion.
"It was important for us to get a win like this tonight," Rodgers said. Full Story

News: Harris was carted off the field with a left knee injury during the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Niners. [+]
Impact: It doesn't look good for Harris, but we'll await further tests and information from the Packers regarding the extent of his injury. Brandon Underwood took over for Harris at the corner spot opposite Charles Woodson, but Tramon Williams will likely move into the starting lineup if Harris misses any additional time. ( RotoWire - Nov 22, 2009) |
News: Kampman (leg) was carted off the field and will have X-rays on his knee. [+]
Impact: His knee appeared to buckle during a pass rush, so it's unclear if it's a serious injury (i.e. torn ligaments) or just something of a mild strain. ( RotoWire - Nov 22, 2009) |
News: Greg Jennings lit up the 49ers in today's 30-24 win at Lambeau Field, as he hauled in five catches for 126 yards and a touchdown. His touchdown covered 64 yards on a strike from quarterback Aaron Rodgers. [+]
Impact: Jennings finally broke loose for fantasy owners, as he topped 100 yards for the first time since Week 3 (at St. Louis). The stud receiver could be headed for another strong performance on Thanksgiving Day with a very favorable matchup at Detroit, who field one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. ( Fanball - Sun.
