News: Tony Gonzalez led the Falcons with eight receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown in today's 34-31 loss at the Giants. [+]
Impact: Gonzo averages 70 yards over his last four games, and scored two touchdowns over the span. The long-time member of the Chiefs continues to fit in very well with his new club. ( Fanball - Sun. Nov 22, 2009) |
News: Jason Snelling was productive in today's 34-31 loss at the Giants, as he had 25 carries for 76 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught three passes for 13 receiving yards. [+]
Impact: Snelling wasn't a worthy replacement for stud Michael Turner, but had a very good game for fantasy owners that penciled him into lineups today. Turner (high-ankle sprain) is uncertain to return in a favorable matchup against Tampa Bay in Week 12. ( Fanball - Sun. Nov 22, 2009) |
News: Matt Ryan had a good outing in Sunday's 34-31 loss at the Giants, as he completed 25-of-46 passes for 268 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions. [+]
Impact: This was an encouraging outing for Ryan and the Falcons, as they were without stud running back Michael Turner (high-ankle sprain). The second-year quarterback continues to develop well, as he fired multiple touchdown passes in six of 10 games this season. ( Fanball - Sun. Nov 22, 2009)

Saints fight off Falcons to stay unbeaten The Saints are still perfect, despite an imperfect performance, and now need one more win to set the record for best start in franchise history.
Drew Brees had 308 yards passing, Pierre Thomas scored two touchdowns and Jabari Greer returned an interception for a score to help the Saints improve to 7-0 with a 35-27 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night. Only the 1991 Saints began a season with as many wins and no Saints team has started 8-0. Full Story

News: Marques Colston helped lead the Saints in today's 38-7 win at Tampa Bay, as he caught a game-high five passes for 74 yards. [+]
Impact: Colston had not reached the endzone in three straight games, but at least he was productive in the yardage department today. He had his best output since Week 8, when he caught six passes for 85 yards against Atlanta. ( Fanball - Sun. Nov 22, 2009) |
News: Pierre Thomas ran well in today's 38-7 win at Tampa Bay, as he racked up 92 yards on 11 carries. He also had three catches for 11 receiving yards. [+]
Impact: Thomas had 103 total yards, despite only touching the ball 14 times. He would hold much more fantasy value if the Saints would just let him handle a bigger workload in the offense. ( Fanball - Sun. Nov 22, 2009) |
News: Drew Brees and the Saints continue to roll, as he completed 19-of-29 passes for 187 yards and three touchdown passes in Sunday's 38-7 win at Tampa Bay. He did not throw an interception. [+]
Impact: Brees has thrown three or more touchdown passes for the fourth time, and collected 22 for the season. The Saints remain unbeaten at 10-0. ( Fanball - Sun. Nov 22, 2009)
