The Chargers safety, who actually attended Central Florida, had his Rasta moment during TV introductions — and some would say he looked, um, high while doing it. Watch it at Yardbarker.

The Chargers were in charge after winning three of their first four, and with Denver losing its third game Sunday. But San Diego came up empty in the fourth quarter, partly due to a pair of turnovers by Philip Rivers (No. 17).

The first was Roman Harper's interception and 41-yard return on a pass tipped by fellow safety Malcolm Jenkins. That set up the Saints' final score on Garrett Hartley's 26-yard field goal. San Diego still had a chance to tie in the final minute when defensive end Martez Wilson stripped Rivers and recovered the fumble to seal the victory.

Suspended Saints head coach Sean Payton was allowed to be in the house, and his presence brought the team good luck. "It gave us a good mojo for sure," Brees said. "I love my coach, so glad he could be here. Mickey (Loomis, GM) and (assistant coach) Joe Vitt as well. It is special for our team, special they could be a part of this record."

Commissioner Roger Goodell, who granted the request, even chimed in on Twitter to offer congratulations: "Congrats to @drewbrees & his teammates on breaking Unitas' record. Amazing accomplishment by great QB & leader. We're proud of you, Drew."

The Saints' suffering, stemming from suspensions and a 0-4 start, may not be over, but their losing streak is. New Orleans rallied at home Sunday night for a 31-24 win over the San Diego Chargers. Marques Colston had three TD catches, giving the seventh-year receiver a franchise-record 52, and Martez Wilson (pictured) stopped the Chargers' final drive by stripping QB Philip Rivers and recovering the fumble. It may not save their season, but it's a sweet bit of relief.

Move over, Johnny U. Saints quarterback Drew Brees (No. 9) passed Unitas in the record books Sunday night, eclipsing the Hall of Famer's 52-year-old mark by throwing a touchdown pass for the 48th consecutive game when he hooked up with Devery Henderson on a 40-yarder in the first quarter.

"First of all it's a team record, not an individual record. So many people were responsible for this, coaches and people in the organization," said Brees, who passed for 370 yards and four TDs. "Certainly the man who held this record stands for everything great in this league. It couldn't have happened in a better way."
