NFL 5 1180 NFL Scouting Combine winners and losers 31604553 WINNER: Ryan Swope WINNER%3A+Ryan+Swope+ NFL

Ryan Swope made the most of his time this weekend. Swope, one of the most productive wide receivers in Texas A&M history, measured in at 6-0 and weighed in at 205. It didn’t end there. Swope blew scouts away clocking a 4.34 in the 40-yard dash and a sub-7 second in the 3 cone drill.

NFL 5 1180 NFL Scouting Combine winners and losers 31604551 WINNER: Ezekiel “Ziggy” Ansah WINNER%3A+Ezekiel+%26ldquo%3BZiggy%26rdquo%3B+Ansah+ NFL

Ezekiel Ansah arrived in Indy as a raw prospect from BYU. He left the Combine as a consensus first rounder. Ansah, who came to BYU from Ghana, admits he didn’t watch any football growing up. None of that will matter to teams as Ansah’s freakish athleticism has scouts drooling.

NFL 5 1180 NFL Scouting Combine winners and losers 31604552 WINNER: Matt Barkley WINNER%3A+Matt+Barkley+ NFL

Is it possible for a prospect to show up to Indy, not participate in any physical drills and leave a winner? Well, yes. Yes, it is. Matt Barkley aced the test in his news conference on Saturday, checked out medically as he recovers from a Grade 3 shoulder separation and reportedly “impressed” many teams during the interview process. Barkley, who started all four seasons at Southern Cal, has been tabbed as a “football junkie.” If Barkley has an impressive Pro Day on March 27, he could vault back into the top 10.

NFL 5 1180 NFL Scouting Combine winners and losers 31604550 WINNER: Margus Hunt WINNER%3A+Margus+Hunt+ NFL

Don’t know much about Margus Hunt? Don’t worry, you will. At 6-foot-8, 275 pounds, Hunt has loads of potential and put plenty of his production from SMU on tape. He also was a workout warrior this weekend, running a 4.6 in the 40-yard dash, repping 225 pounds 38 times and leaping 34 ½ inches in the broad jump. He’s a late first rounder.

NFL 5 1180 NFL Scouting Combine winners and losers 31604562 LOSER: Keenan Allen LOSER%3A+Keenan+Allen+ NFL

The wide receiver out of Cal has been a sexy pick to go in the first round. Well, he participated in exactly zero drills at the Combine. So ... uh, why did he show up? To practice his interview skills? There are speech classes for that.

NFL 5 1180 NFL Scouting Combine winners and losers 31604549 WINNER: Zaviar Gooden WINNER%3A+Zaviar+Gooden+ NFL

Maybe you saw Zaviar Gooden run the linebacker-best 40-yard dash at 4.47. Maybe you missed it. Whatever happened, one this is for certain: this kid is legit. Although injuries hampered Gooden during his time at Missouri, he may have saved his best for the next level. He’s a bit undersized at 6-foot-1, 234 pounds, but he has keen instincts and could be a plug-and-play if a team takes a chance on him in April.

NFL 5 1180 NFL Scouting Combine winners and losers 31604563 LOSER: Manti Te'o LOSER%3A+Manti+Te%27o+ NFL

For all the talk about Lennay Kekua and his embarrassing incident while at Notre Dame, Manti Te'o really fell short where it matters: on the field. His unimpressive 4.82 time in the 40-yard dash had Ravens coach John Harbaugh shaking his head. In a bad way. That, in addition to all his off-the-field drama, could really cost him come the NFL Draft.

NFL 5 1180 NFL Scouting Combine winners and losers 31604561 LOSER: Jarvis Jones LOSER%3A+Jarvis+Jones+ NFL

The linebacker from Georgia had rave reviews coming out of college, but things went south during the Combine. Jones didn't participate in workouts and didn't pass the physicals of a few teams. The reason? Spinal stenosis in his neck, a medical issue he's been dealing with since he started with college career. Spinal stenosis has ended the career of a few NFL players after just a few seasons, so it's no surprise that a few teams are starting to back away from Jones.

NFL 5 1180 NFL Scouting Combine winners and losers 31604560 LOSER: Damontre Moore LOSER%3A+Damontre+Moore+ NFL

The guy was a standout defensive lineman at Texas A&M. A high first-round pick according to some mock drafts. So, what happened at the Combine? Moore was able to bench-press 225 pounds just 12 times, ranking him last among defensive linemen. Not good. What's worse, he appeared to suffer a hamstring injury while running the 40-yard dash. Moore might have yipped his way out of the first round.

NFL 5 1180 NFL Scouting Combine winners and losers 31604559 LOSER: Montee Ball LOSER%3A+Montee+Ball+ NFL

NFL scouts weren't high on Ball after his junior season. They probably still aren't now. His 4.66 time in the 40 isn't what teams are looking for in a running back. He fared even worse in the short shuttle, which is another critical drill for running back prospects. Where will he go in the draft? Late ... if at all at this point.
