News: The Tennessean reported Young said in an interview with ESPN he considered quitting football after the season opening ordeal in 2008 but denies being suicidal during that time. He also reiterated his wish not to be traded, but if he didn't regain the starting job in the next two years, he would be ready to play elsewhere. [+]

Vince, I know you still play the old Madden 08 game with you on the cover. I win every game online by running with you, Vince. I missed out on being on Madden Nation.

Um, ForexPower, take a quess. Kurt Warner or Matt Cassel. The league leader was probably Kurt.

Go Titans!

If I were Vince, I'd enjoy the bench. Probably get contract to market Shamwow Terrible Towels.

I like Vince and he is a great QB. Winning percentage is spectacular. With the exception of the week 17 loss to the Colts. We rested everybody and left him out to die.

Under the QB Comparisons, why not add the name of the league leader please.

so, as a band geek who came to love football from watching games before and after i did my lob during halftime, i don't know all the rules behind it... but someone answer this for me:

would it be completely unheard of to list VY as a running back, and effectively play him as QB and RB at the same time, with Collins also on the field? i remember seeing C. **** from Arkansas often pitch the mall to D. McFadden to made a pass, or McFadden would take a direct snap. but he was most effective as a traditional running back. i could just see so many plays coming from this... unconventional, i know; but thats why its a game isn't it?

(don't chew me out for my lack of knowledge of the game, i'm just trying to learn a bit more, and throw out a crazy idea)

I think Mr. Young was a very good "college" quarterback along the lines of Michael Vick, but can not make it in the pros. He just doesn't have the NFL type of quarterback sense of the game that is require like McNabb, Cassel, Brett Farr, or Brady. He is interesting to watch but really is never going to be the "go to guy" at quarterback. However, he could be a hall of fame running back.

vince just needs to worry about getting his mind right. once he does im sure he will make a good QB. probably not for Tenn. tho.

The NFL and
the Titans would be better off if Young offed himself. Over rated under achiever. Making big $$$ for sitting. Maybe he should donate it to a good cause... LOSER. He is no Brett Favre

Vince is just chilling on the bench getting paid. He's not worried about playing.

LOL

The best coach in the NFL is by far Mike Shanahan for the Denver Broncos. Just wait and see what happens with Cutler under his wing.

i agree with pitbull stand behind your team i mean dang hes still young he needs support from his fans 1st he shouldve never been threw out there to begin with and all the things hes been blamed for look at the recievers they couldve caught more of those passes also its not all youngs fault i beleive he will bounce back and play a vital role in the titans success give him a chance and quit with all the booing and if you cant then your not really much of a fan

Fisher the best coach in the NFL? I realise you are a titans fan but lets snap back into reality shall we? Bill Bellicheck is the best coach in the NFL hands down. The Patriots have rewritten the record book under his superior coaching skills. Fisher is a GREAT coach and I like his style of coaching but the BEST? NO WAY!!

You do remember some of the same stuff went on with McNair. The boos and cries for Neil. But McNair turned out to be a fine QB.Who carried his team to a super bowl and lost. But gave the Titans fans a hell of a ride after being booed

The coaches in the NFL destroy more QB's than they make.If Young should be on the bench now,he probably should have been there last year.By starting a young QB and then benching him,you destroy his confidence and stability.I'm not laying all the blame on the coaches.Vince needs to man up and study harder.

Love these folks they don't even understand complex emitions let alone their own. The conflicting nature is that we all have thoughts of suicide a death theory which Freud had dubbed. It is innate within everyone who either has or does not have depression. Young is a man and he had a mixture of feelings what's important is not to simply say he's not man enough when the death drive is within all of us. I never booed anyone, not the kids I coach, not the other team, and never ever do I boo someone when their injured. Jeff Fischer and the Tennese media and police for allowing this to turn into a media circus face the blames for exposing a man's personal life. It's sad to say Fischer has never truly grown up and gotten over himself as a man and teammate. He hasn't had a good upfront O-line since Reese and a sub-par defensive since then. Hey Jeff why don't you just go and report every players mental health and allow it to be printed out in the media. What a great uber-mench this is what Skinner would call an Operant behavior of a moron. Jeffery keep the media, players, and therepists out of the papers. And, don't let their personal lives be revealed when their struggling. Some coach he is what went to one super bowl and since he doesn't have Reese nothing?
