News: The Texans signed Beck to a one-year contract, the Houston Chronicle reports. Impact: Houston head coach Gary Kubiak wanted to add a fourth quarterback, and he preferred a veteran. Beck, who turns 31 in August and is entering his sixth NFL season, should make a smooth transition from Washington to Houston as the two offenses utilize a similar system. He'll compete with rookie Case Keenum for the third-string job behind Matt Schaub and T.J. Yates.(RotoWire, )
