News: Williams, who missed 10 games last season due to a torn hamstring, says he's at full health well ahead of the 2014 season, BuffaloBills.com reports. Said the team's new receiver, "I'm good. I'm going to be ready for all the offseason workouts and things like that. So I'll be 100 percent straight for that." Impact: What's not coming to Buffalo in good standing is trust in the receiver's off-field behavior, but the Bills are willing to take a chance at a proven veteran who can beef up their receiving group and knows how to score. The thinking is that Doug Marrone -- who coached Williams briefly at Syracuse, even though the receiver ended up leaving the team -- can get him on board with the Bills' program, and that he'll be better behaved in his hometown.(RotoWire, )

News: The Buffalo Bills have acquired receiver Mike Williams in a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Impact: It's a homecoming for Williams, who grew up in Buffalo and played at Syracuse under current Bills coach Doug Marrone. The trade comes a little over a week after Williams ran into off-field trouble. He was allegedly stabbed in the leg by his brother, Eric Baylor, who has since turned himself in to police.(STATS, 11:26am)

News: Williams (thigh) was traded to Buffalo on Friday in exchange for a sixth-round pick, ESPN's James Walker reports. Impact: The Buccaneers had grown weary of Williams' off-the-field issues, and it makes sense to move him now with such a deep talent pool at receiver in the upcoming draft class. Buffalo, meanwhile, adds some size and physicality to a receiver rotation that otherwise featured finesse wideouts. Williams' 2013 season was a waste due to a hamstring tear that ended his season after six games, but he started his career with three consecutive seasons of 60-plus catches, scoring 23 touchdowns over that span. Williams might have trouble establishing much fantasy value in Buffalo, in any case, as he'll be battling Steve Johnson, Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin for targets in what figures to be a modest EJ Manuel-led passing game. An interesting anecdote in all this is that Williams quit the Syracuse football team in 2009, which was current Bills coach Doug Marrone's first season as head coach at Syracuse.(RotoWire, )
