News: Suh won't attend voluntary camp this week, Larry Lage of the AP reports. Impact: Earlier in April, teammate Reggie Bush said Suh's absence from voluntary workouts was due to "a contract thing." It's no secret that the stud defensive tackle wants an extension as he enters the final season of his rookie contract, and the Lions almost certainly want to work things out with their clear-cut top defensive player. However, Suh is somewhat controversial due to his history of on-field conflict, and as a former No. 2 overall draft pick who was selected before the rookie wage scale was implemented, he's already signed one huge contract. Public opinion wouldn't be in Suh's favor in the event of a holdout, if it all comes to that. As is typically the case in these situations, the player in question will very likely be playing for his current team come Week 1. Whether Suh will happily be playing for the Lions is quite a bit more questionable.(RotoWire, )

The defensive tackle has not been attending the team's voluntary workouts that began last week. (STATS, 8:28pm)

News: Suh's absence from voluntary workouts this week are a "contract thing," his teammate Reggie Bush told the Detroit Free Press Impact: Suh and the Lions have engaged in contract discussions with him having just one remaining year left on his rookie deal. He also hasn't typically had a spotless voluntary workout attendance record either. Whenever the Lions and Suh reach an agreement, it's expected to make him one of the richest players on the defensive side of the ball.(RotoWire, )
