Team signs ex-Patriots tight end
by By Mark Gaughan - NEWS SPORTS REPORTER , Buffalo News
Bills coach Dick Jauron said Fine's injury was not expected to be long term.
"We don't think so," he said. "It's just that we were low on tight ends going into this game. We kind of counted on Travis [McCall] being back and then Tyson [DeVree] was available. We kind of liked him coming out of college and it fit for us."
The Bills must trim the roster from 75 to 53 on Saturday.

Receiver Lee Evans was rested for a second straight practice.
"It was kind of planned after the game particularly," Jauron said. "He's just sore. Lee did a lot of running in camp. We had the unfortunate situation with our receivers [being injured] kind of all the way through camp, and Lee did a lot of running. So we decided it was a good time to give him a couple days rest."
