DAVIE, Fla. (AP) - Linebacker William Kershaw has signed with the Miami Dolphins, who placed cornerback Will Allen on injured reserve with a left knee injury.

Kershaw was in training camp with the Dolphins and released before the regular season. He spent two weeks on Miami's active roster in 2008 and played in one game. He also spent time with the Chiefs, Texans and Eagles.

The moves were made Tuesday. Allen suffered a season-ending injury in Sunday's loss to New Orleans.
