Q: Hey, Tony: I have about 20 questions I would like you to pose to Eric Mangini, who I have little faith in. Here is my first one: Considering that Jamal Lewis is hurt and not in his prime any longer and that the RB group, as a whole, is very thin, why not move Josh Cribbs to RB? He is a better north/south runner, he's a poor wide receiver and the Wildcat formation could be better utilized with him playing RB. Plus you have two second-round WRs to use and develop. If you ask the question and he gives his normal answer that Cribbs is great at WR, then remind him that NFL stands for "not for long" and us fans are sick of mediocrity. - Dave, Lawrenceville, Ga.

A: Hey, Dave: Some NFL teams recruited Cribbs as a running back before the Browns signed him. I always thought it was the best position to utilize his skills. After all, he was a running quarterback at Kent State. While I wouldn't expect him to be a full-time player at the position, a special role on third downs would enhance his Wildcat possibilities.

Q: Hey, Tony: The 49ers are 6-1 in the past seven games. You publicly denounced Mike Singletary as a candidate last year. Any change of heart?! I know we aren't going to change coaches now, but you have to admit he is doing an outstanding job with just as much talent (if not less) than the Browns have. - Christopher, Scottsdale, Ariz.

A: Hey, Christopher: Singletary has done an excellent job. He is 7-3 over his past 10 games. He's winning with defense and Frank Gore because his quarterback situation is bleak. Yes, Singletary looks like a keeper.
