It appears the Cleveland Browns are making a change at quarterback.

Browns head coach Eric Mangini informed Derek Anderson today that he would be the starter, team sources told FOXSports.com.

The move comes as somewhat of a surprise as Anderson threw three interceptions in the second half of Sunday's game against the Ravens, a game in which he was inserted after Mangini benched Brady Quinn at halftime.

The two engaged in a QB competition throughout training camp and the preseason and both struggled through three games thus far.

The Browns have been unable to get anything going this year and have seemingly been in the center of attention less for their play and more for grumblings about their new head coach and a series of controversial fines and team rules. The NFLPA has filed a formal grievance over Mangini fining a player $1,701 for not paying a hotel for a $3 bottle of water.

The ire of Browns fans has been running high again and national columnists are now predicting that Mangini's Browns could perhaps copy last year's Lions and go winless this season.

Quinn started Sunday and completed six of eight passes for 34 yards and an interception. Quinn was benched at halftime and replaced by Anderson, who went on to complete 11 of 19 passes for 92 yards but threw the three interceptions.

While Mangini is making a switch at the QB position, the hapless Browns seem to have a lot more problems than at signal-caller. They are last in the league in offense and 29th in the NFL in defense, Mangini's specialty.
