Texans to sign RB Henry

The Texans are planning to sign free-agent running back Chris Henry to their practice squad today.

Henry (5-11, 230 pounds) was the Titans' second-round pick in 2007. They placed him on waivers last week. Washington also has been pursuing Henry.

The Texans want a veteran back on their practice squad in case something happens to Steve Slaton, Chris Brown or Ryan Moats. They also have Arian Foster, an undrafted rookie, on the practice squad.

Linebacker Khary Campbell was placed on injured reserve Tuesday because of a knee injury he suffered in Sunday's victory over Oakland. The team used Campbell's roster spot to elevate defensive end Tim Jamison, an undrafted rookie, to the active roster.

The Texans waived tight end/deep snapper Clark Harris from the practice squad and will replace him today by re-signing linebacker Buster Davis.
