Barber, Ware hurting Tailback has broken thumb

Phillips said that Barber felt like he jammed his thumb during the Kansas City game Oct. 11. He practiced last week and the swelling went down, Phillips said, but Barber's thumb was still sore this week.
"We can cast it, and he can play," Phillips said.
Barber is one of three Cowboys starters with a broken thumb, joining right guard Leonard Davis and strong safety Gerald Sensabaugh.
Phillips said the injury to Barber shouldn't affect his ability to carry or catch the Football. Barber, who is still recovering from a strained left quadriceps muscle that has limited him since Week 2, usually carries the ball in his right hand.
Ware has been battling his foot injury most of the season but has played through it. Ware said Wednesday that he is OK.
Phillips said Ware's stress fracture is "one that will get better with time."
"We don't expect that to be a problem," Phillips said. "His foot was sore, but he played last game and did all right. He's been playing well. It's not a major injury. It's one you can play with."
Jones increases practice work: Backup running back Felix Jones said he did more in practice Wednesday than he did Monday but couldn't say for sure that he'd play Sunday.
"But during practice, I feel good about it," Jones said. "I thought I looked pretty good. That's all I can go by right now."
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and Phillips said they expect Felix Jones to play Sunday.
Jones practiced for the second time Wednesday since spraining the posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee Sept. 28 against Carolina. He wore a knee brace and said he'd likely wear a brace Sunday if he plays. He said he still has soreness.
"It's still there a little bit, but it feels a lot better," Jones said. "Every day is getting better."
Cowboys move practice again: Driving rain throughout the day led to the Cowboys moving their practice to Standridge Stadium in Carrollton.
It's the second time the Cowboys have practiced at Standridge. They've also practiced indoors at Coppell and Southlake Carroll.
"I thought it was good that we emphasized ball security," Phillips said. "We didn't have any fumbles. If it rains tomorrow, we need to go inside so we can work our passing game more efficiently."
Cowboys , AT&T partner up on practice jerseys: The Cowboys' practice jerseys had a logo on them for the first time Wednesday with AT&T's logo appearing on the left side. AT&T will retain that sponsorship the rest of the season.
This off-season, the NFL decided to allow teams to place sponsors on their practice jerseys. That played into the hands of the Cowboys' marketing efforts. AT&T has signage throughout Cowboys Stadium, including the 60-yard video board.
Briefly: Sensabaugh returned to practice for the first time Wednesday since breaking his right thumb Oct. 4 against Denver. He fully participated and wore a blue cast to protect the injury. He said he expects to play against Atlanta. ... Phillips said every player fully participated in practice Wednesday, including right tackle Marc Colombo (sprained ankle), Davis (broken right thumb), center Andre Gurode (sprained right knee), linebacker Curtis Johnson (hamstring) and safety Mike Hamlin (wrist).
