Bills work out Ramsey
by By Jay Skurski , Buffalo News
It remains to be seen how quickly Trent Edwards can recover from his second concussion in just over a year. Edwards is scheduled to begin Football workouts Wednesday, but has already been ruled out for Sunday's game against Houston. The Bills have a bye the following week.
Ramsey has played for four NFL teams since entering the league as a first-round draft pick (32nd overall) of the Washington Redskins in 2002. He served as the backup to Jay Cutler in Denver the past two seasons, appearing in mop-up duty in just one game in 2008. He was a backup for the New York Jets for 11 games in 2006 and started 24 games for the Redskins from 2002-05.
Ramsey graduated from Tulane with several of the school's passing records. He was replaced in the Green Wave lineup by former Bills first-round pick J.P. Losman.
