Well, to soothe their feelings, they held a mock funeral for him Friday. An area sports bar, Tom, Dick and Harry's, hosted the "service" before Favre leads the Vikings into Green Bay on Sunday to face the Packers.

About 500 people came out for the event, the bar's general manager, Mike McNerney, told USA Today.

There were pallbearers and a casket containing an effigy of Favre, complete with a Vikings helmet and his Minnesota jersey.

The funeral was "a way to honor his Green Bay legacy, but move on, for cripes sake," radio host Len Nelson at area station WAPL, which promoted the event, told the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
