And if he keeps doing what he's doing, there's no doubt in my mind his opportunity's coming somehow, someway, and you never know what's going to happen throughout your season or throughout his career, so if he just keeps his nose to the grindstone, keeps working the way he's working, Sage is going to play football for a long time and he'll get many opportunities."

--With a three-year deal from Houston offered, Rosevelt Colvin was happy to sign with them.

"Well, I think all along, myself and my representation have always said that we're looking for a commitment," said Colvin, who will be 31 when the season starts. "And I've said before, with my family, my four children, my wife, I'm committed to them, to putting them in a position that they can benefit and have the best opportunity they can to grow up and live. And so if I can find an organization that feels that way about me and (is) committed to who I am as a player, then I'm going to commit myself, and the Texans they have stepped up and committed themselves to me. And hopefully, like I said, the situation will work out for the best."
