Houston Texans Notes, Quotes
by Sports Xchange
--With a three-year deal from Houston offered, Rosevelt Colvin was happy to sign with them.
"Well, I think all along, myself and my representation have always said that we're looking for a commitment," said Colvin, who will be 31 when the season starts. "And I've said before, with my family, my four children, my wife, I'm committed to them, to putting them in a position that they can benefit and have the best opportunity they can to grow up and live. And so if I can find an organization that feels that way about me and (is) committed to who I am as a player, then I'm going to commit myself, and the Texans they have stepped up and committed themselves to me. And hopefully, like I said, the situation will work out for the best."
QUOTE TO NOTE: "He's grown up. He's a much more mature kid. He's an effort player, down in and down out, right now which is something I wouldn't say he was last year so that's something he has corrected. But he's got a lot more maturity about him as we move forward. He's a better player." -- Coach Gary Kubiak, when asked about Amobi Okoye's progress.
