Two-time Pro Bowl CB Sheppard visits with Bucs
It appears it will take a second-round pick plus and additional pick or player to get the deal done.
Two or three other teams are interested in the cornerback, who has played with the Eagles since entering the league in 2002.
Sheppard is the only player in NFL history with two interception returns of more than 100 yards, turning the trick in 2004 and 2006, both against the Cowboys. He has 15 career interceptions and three touchdowns.

It's one thing to get Greise back but for a pick? This is the bad choices the bucs make-we released him only to give up a pick to get him back-bad decision making by Allen.

Don't worry Rainman, fellow Buccaneers fan here to help out with all these Haters! It's obvious every non Buccaneer fan here doesn't pay attention to other teams in the league much. I was happy to get Griese back, we should have never let him go. We were rockin before he got hurt. Anyways, let the haters hate, we know what we have in Tampa Bay. Tampa doesn't need the big name receivers, quarterbacks, or receivers to make the Super Bowl or win a playoff game. Our defense is going back to Number 1

Chen, I believe your right about Clayton, he has great potential, most Bucs fans have already written him off, I say we keep him around and hopefully we can get Garcia to hit him with some passes, I really think the Bucs should draft a Qb somewhere, just to give it a shot, we need a consistant passer for years to come, and we need to try our luck every year until he is found, until that position is fulfilled, keep stock piling and trading em out!! Who cares what haters have to say about us having them 20 Qbs, We're bound to find one worth a damn, Garcia is ok for now, but his time is almost up!!

Thats why I posted him brother Screwface, Griese was the Top passer for the Bears last season (I know it aint saying much) but he did have a couple 300 yd games, I'm going to referance the Bears/Vikings
game, Griese was on point, racking up over 3 hundy, If not for AP, that was Griese game and he would have had the W. The Bears kept swaping out QBs last season though, never really giving him a chance to get in motion, and he didn't get us bounced from the playoffs, Simms did, Griese went 5-1 (with the stats listed below) before suffering an injury thus letting Simms take over. I'd take a veteran Griese at our #2 spot than any other of our 20 QBs....So to me that was a good pick up....as for Bryant maybe this guy had a year off and was like WOW, I'm missing my whole career, maybe he comes and plays his heart out, maybe not. I'm looking at the guys athleticism. Other than Galloway, there hasn't been much of that on our recieving core. Hopefully we change this, tommorrow.

Man, I just wish something would get done already. As far as that division goes, New Orleans will be Tampa's only competition, so I would have to at least say they have a good chance at the playoffs. I do think bryant is a good pick up for them, but I think a SB is out of the question. The NFC East is probably the best division in football top to bottom. I'll take a second rounder and Michael Clayton for Lito, Clayton is being under-utilized down there.

rainman: antonio bryant? i thought people were just wrong about the guy for a few years. somehow he's convinced me that he isn't what I thought he was. He makes cathes sure, but he doesn't score very often, and he's generally speaking inconsistent, you don't get the same output from him game to game. And as I recall the kid came in with Parcells and the Cowboys. He's only slid south from there. I think you guys got a servicable reciever who ain't much to write home about. The real question I have for you is what are you expecting from Griese. That guy's so toasted it ain't funny. And why would you even mention him being reunited with Gruden. What spectacular things did they do in their first relationship? Oh right they got bounced out of the playoffs. Garcia was your guy.

Your intitled to your opinion at least you come with a feasible one, I think I make a great case, and for Bryant "they" say that about everyone with a bad attitude, while were at it why don't we write off T.O, Johnson, J. Allen, and Pacman, shoot go ahead and write off 1/2 the whole leauge.

sorry rainman, but these free agents are nothing to gloat about. Aside from maybe Faine, the rest are castoffs, especially Bryant. He has all the tools but has a terrible attitude. He'll be throwing t-shirts in ahuff at Gruden in no time. But I hope you get Lito. I hate to see good players wasted on the Feables.

Here you go HADERS, Get familiar you non football talkin hater, we all know the success the Bucs had last season, thats without these great free agent pickups. ENJOY

Warrick Dunn RB- Even on the horrible dirty birds last season Dunn still racked up over 800 hundred yards rushing, Dunn hasn't lost a step, and with Graham, Bennett and hopefully Caddy back, Run game is gonna be deep.

TE John Gilmore and Ben Troupe, two really great recievers and blockers, Gilmore is six-foot-five and 257 pounds, has great hands and has been in the league for 7 years, so this isn't his firts rodeo. While Gilmore is known more for his outstanding blocking skills, Troupe is a gifted athlete whose 6-4, 270-pound frame can cause mismatches for opposing defenses. Therefore, Troupe may help fill the pass-catching void at the tight end position. Mix these guys with last years starter Alex Smith, A third-year man Smith is a gifted two-way player, excelling with both his blocking and his downfield pass-catching. The Bucs make frequent use of multiple-TE sets, and Gruden likes to get those tight ends involved in the passing game. Not only is this great for our scrambling QB Garcia but this also with boost our running attack.

C Jeff Faine- A beast at center, the Bucs snagged Faine early. Faine upgardes our O-line Fo Sho. Trueblood, D. Joesph, Luke P. Faine is technically proficient is obviously important to the Buccaneers, who expect him to anchor their young and promising offensive line.

WR Antonio Bryant- In 77 NFL games (56 starts), Bryant has snared 250 receptions for 3,837 yards and 19 touchdowns. In his last complete season, with the Cleveland Browns in 2005, he topped the 1,000-yard mark, grabbing 69 passes for 1,009 yards and four touchdowns. Bryant sports an impressive career mark of 15.3 yards per catch, indicating that he is a serious downfield threat. His seven career 100-yard games are further evidence of the same.

QB Brian Griese- Griese's return to Tampa reunites him with Head Coach Jon Gruden and brings him back to the location of one of his best seasons. In 2004, Griese took over the Bucs' starting job after Brad Johnson was benched and Chris Simms was injured, and he proceeded to put up big numbers in Gruden's attack. In 11 games and 10 starts, Griese completed 233 of 336 passes (69.3%) for 2,632 yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He finished the season with a franchise-record 97.5 passer rating, beating Johnson's previous standard of 92.9 by a healthy margin.

This doesn't include 5 great defensive players

what ever rainman,do you drink that much tampa bay kool-aid to even think that the bucs have any type of chance this year? they made the playoffs b/c of the division, NFC south is a joke, keep on drinkin the kool-aid.
shaders4/25/2008 11:52:00 AM(Report inappropriate content)
Shaders obviously hasn't been keeping track of the Bucs offseason(like I would expect a hater too) so I will let his retardation slide
4/25/2008 11:39:00 AM(Report inappropriate content)
Are the Eagles going to trade this guy? Why would they allow him to visit other teams? So he visits other teams, finds one he like then the Eagles work the trade?
4/25/2008 11:32:00 AM(Report inappropriate content)
For all you non belivers Rember the bucs lost in the first round of the playoffs with a bunch of injuries and still played the gaints better than the patiriots . If Litto wants to go to playoff team he will want to come to the number 1 defensive team the tampa bay bucs. Go Bucs Draft a speedy reciver in the first round .
Boogs4/25/2008 11:04:00 AM(Report inappropriate content)
Do all you bucs fans live in lala land i think the sun fried your brains the bucks are not going any place but down they have done nothing to get better and if you think picking lito up will change anything remember he was hurt half of the season,so if you are getting superbowl with an aging defense and an even older QB good luck....
shaders4/25/2008 10:49:00 AM(Report inappropriate content)
The nfl east is all about the giants,Oh the SUPER BOWL CHAMPS.until you beat them follow them,
teemaxxs4/25/2008 8:07:00 AM(Report inappropriate content)
Kieth Rivers wont be available at 20,I say the Bucs draft WR D.Thomas with that first pick, but I would go with Hardy, Sweed, Kelly, or D. Jackson, just use that first pick on offense for god sake, then we can stack on defense like all other drafts.
4/25/2008 6:14:00 AM(Report inappropriate content)
There was a seminole at each level on that bucs SB defense spires, brooks, and jackson.
