Two-time Pro Bowl selection Terrell Suggs will report to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and end a 23-day absence from the team, the Baltimore Sun reported.

The defensive end/linebacker will sign his franchise tag tender worth $8.5 million this season.

Suggs is scheduled to practice Monday and play briefly in the team's preseason game against the St. Louis Rams.

Suggs, 25, had been unhappy with the franchise tag, contending he should be designated a defensive end, which is worth $800,000 more than a linebacker would earn based on the scale of top salaries across the NFL. The paper said the parties created a new position — a hybrid defensive end-linebacker — and split the difference on money.

Suggs has recorded 45 sacks in five pro seasons.
