Worth a thousand words:
The man, who asked to be identified only as "Doc," was cashing in change at a Cinemark Theatre in Dallas when a stranger walked up and offered to pay his way into the movie. The homeless man said he had planned to spend his day handing out fliers for a nearby consignment store and accepted a rain check before recognizing the generous gentleman.
"Was that Tony Romo?" he asked the theater worker.
It was, and Doc rushed across the street to the store and requested the day off. By the time he got back to the theater, Role Models, in which two men are sentenced to 150 hours mentoring kids, had already started.
Romo, who confirmed the story to the newspaper but didn't want to elaborate, waved Doc over to sit by him and his friend. Doc mentioned that he hadn't showered in a few days.
"Don't worry about that," Romo said. "I'm used to locker rooms."
And so the $67 million quarterback, who made news by changing a couple's tire on a roadside on the way home from a game in September, and the homeless man sat next to each other and shared laughs for 90 minutes or so.
"For me, it was a blessing," Doc said. "It came at just the right time. It gave me some encouragement and faith in mankind. I just wanted to say thank you."

lol rfrobby...you just validated my statements again...allow me to demonstrate uing part of your post....<br />"First, all a homeless person cares about is survival, thats not counting the ones with mental health issues, they fight for survival and fight whatever demens are screwing them up. "<br />Now, i agree that people need help at some point or another. I don't agree with helping people who aren't willing to help themselves. That is really why i volunteer...it's to help the people who have an interest in their own lives....let me refer once again to one of your statements:"thats not counting the ones with mental health issues, they fight for survival and fight whatever demens are screwing them up"...now tell me...these gentle souls with mental problems who are fighting their demons-----who ends up suffering? just them? no....everybody around them ends up suffering as well...are these the people you're trying to incorporate back into society? how do you think people without these issues are going to feel if they're forced to have to deal with them also...and dealing with these people is really just accepting the antisocial, violent tendenceies, the alcoholism and drug abuse, etc....<br />The ones without the mental disorders (a minority) are generally the ones who don't allow themselves to remain in that situation.<br />Everyday is a struggle for every person in some way, be it job, relationships, health, etc...the homeless don't hold the market on suffering, they just take it to extremes that oftentimes become irredeemable.

the 'boys did put themselves back in the hunt by defeating the Redskins last week....they can't really afford to drop more than one game for the rest of the season though....tough road for them

The Dallas Cowboys' season appeared to be spiraling out of control, but then Tony Romo returned from his injury to lead the team to a much-needed victory.<br /><br />The Cowboys look to build off that win and take advantage of a potentially easy stretch of their schedule on Sunday when they host the San Francisco 49ers.<br />After opening the season with three straight wins, things quickly fell apart for Dallas (6-4), as it dropped four of its next six. Romo broke the pinkie finger on his throwing hand in an overtime loss to Arizona on Oct. 12, and the team went 1-2 in his absence.<br /><br />Just when it looked like a team that went 13-3 a year ago would miss the playoffs, the Cowboys got back in the win column last Sunday with a 14-10 victory at Washington.<br /><br />"We had to have this one," said Romo, whose 25-yard pass to rookie Martellus Bennett with 10 1/2 minutes to play was the go-ahead touchdown. "I told the guys the time is now. It's a show-me game, we had to go out there and show ourselves and show each other that we can play good football."

"Don't worry about that," Romo said. "I'm used to locker rooms."<br />But 3 days? I would've paid for a hotel room for him.(so he could clean up) then paid for a movie.<br /><br />Romo's Brave!

PeterBaden you are full of yourself. If will be a hard fall whenever you fall. Nice to believe somebody cares about the garbage you spewed about the homeless which you know nothing about but with your attitude as is you will know in your lifetime. Guess they have to caps or hats to fit your over inflated head huh? Dream on piccadilly dream on. And Ragingbull....... the moral of my last post concerning what Romo did went right over your head. The size of what he did isn't as important as the fact that he actually reached out to a homeless person. Please in the name of Joseph and Mary get a FREAKIN CLUE!! Bye all!! Have a nice weekend!! Peter that includes you inspite of yourself!! Bye all!!

"Don't worry about that," Romo said. "I'm used to locker rooms."<br /><br />3 days dude.... I would've paid for him to get a later showing....paid for a hotel room w/a shower..then watched a movie with him.<br /><br />Romo is Brave.

It's going to be awesomely relieving when the "Speak before you think" type of people who keep flabbering away about how Romo will never get a ring.. get foot in mouth disease when Mr. Romo does..!

rfrobby...you did state your qualifications and i complimented you on them....now, are you claiming that you knew a majority of homeless that didn't live as i've stated....i know the answer is no....<br />btw...if you make 10 times the income i make, then you are an incredibly wealthy person and obviously have made a life for yourself.....and really that's my point...if you care enough about yourself and your life, you won't accept being homeless or destitute or whatever and will effect change in your life....you are sadly in the minority as far as this is concerned however......btw....you guys were commenting as late as 8 or 9pm last night if the times on the posts are to be believed, and started right back up again today....you must be truly fascinated by my posts, and i'm very flattered by your unsolicited attention.................

Honestly, it takes an intelligent person to come up with a descriptive name like that for Adam Jones.
