The New York Giants were without their leading rusher in Sunday's critical matchup against the NFC West-leading Arizona Cardinals.

Brandon Jacobs, who has averaged 5.4 yards per carry this season while scoring 11 touchdowns, was not available for the defending Super Bowl champs Sunday afternoon.

Jacobs' absence came as somewhat of a surprise as the fourth-year running back practiced during the week and appeared to be a full go. But Jacobs' knee was still sore when he woke up Sunday morning, and the Giants decided to err on the side of caution and hold their workhorse back out of Sunday's game.

I couldn't blog on the article about Plaxico so I'll blog here. it seems funny that his hammy is keeping him out of this weeks game, but apparently it's well enough to go clubbing in Manhatten---with a loaded gun no less. It's amazing what you can put your mind to when you really want to.

I am a Giants fan first and foremost. All you guys are just "fantasy players". How many of you have Burress on your teams? He should have shot himself in the head versus his leg and we could all move on - after hin signing a $35 million deal???? I'll s%$^Q$Q% him if he isn't capable of doing it himself!!!!

Thanks a lot Jay!!!! I listened to your report on Fox that Jacobs was 100% and sat ward. Now I see you changed your mind a bit late and I have jacobs in and ward on the bench!! Try and get your story straight next time!!!
