Jonas Brothers make game a fryin' hot time

The 100 or so screaming girls on the field sure did seem to enjoy the pyrotechnic-heavy show, though. So did the female press-box worker who glared at Dallas Morning News beat writer Brian "Crash" Davis when he dared to suggest that the Jonas Brothers were lip-synching. I thought Cowboys guard Montrae Holland made a cameo at the end, but it turned out to be a fella named Big Rob. My hunch is Big Rob has fried a few turkeys in his day.
Funky wing flappers: You probably noticed that the Cowboys celebrated each of their seven sacks with a variation of the Funky Chicken dance. Of course, they went with the Thanksgiving theme and called it the Turkey Dance.
The idea hatched when Jason Hatcher and some of the other defensive linemen were throwing the ball around before practice. Hatcher celebrated a catch by busting out his Billy "White Shoes" Johnson impersonation, and the pass rushers all agreed to do the dance when celebrating against the Seahawks.
Even Greg Ellis, a rather conservative gentleman, got in on the act after a sack. He flapped his wings three times, just to keep his teammates from coming after him.
"I had to do it a little bit, because they said if you didn't do it, you were going to get fined," Ellis said. "Didn't want to get fined by the guys, so I did it a little bit and just left it alone."
(Memo to uptight NFL office: Ellis mentioned that the Cowboys didn't plan to violate rules by fining real money.)
More dance fever: Martellus Bennett didn't fulfill his promise to score two touchdowns against the Seahawks, but the rookie tight end did get in the end zone for the third consecutive game. He celebrated his latest score with a little move he called the "Stanky Leg," and the Aggie added the Horns-down gesture just for teammate Roy Williams. "I almost whupped his butt when he came to the sideline," the proud Texas-ex said.
Quick hits: The Cowboys are now 3-0 at home since Rowdy has been banished from the Texas Stadium sidelines during game action. ... Why did Cowboys fans boo Julius Jones? The better he does, the higher the compensation pick.
