NFL agent all a Twitter

Twitter may have been created for Drew Rosenhaus.

You get the idea from Rosenhaus' "tweets" that if his clients formed one team, that team not only would go undefeated but also would never yield a point nor ever punt. Now it's not uncommon for an agent to build up his players, and Rosenhaus was one of the best at that even before "Twitter" hit the Internet scene.

Now, however, he has a constant platform to sell his merchandise, and put his own spin on team happenings ? since he probably has at least one player on every NFL roster these days.

Like this past week he wrote, "The media has made a big deal about Thomas Jones missing voluntary workouts. Let's see if they take the same approach with Leon Washington."

Jones is a Rosenhaus client, Washington is not.

And yes, the media has made as "big a deal," if not a bigger one, about Washington's absence from the Jets' OTAs. Rex Ryan was grilled thoroughly about the absence of the best big-play man on his roster, who like Jones is seeking better compensation.

Rosenhaus also posted comments on Plaxico Burress, saying the former Giants' not-so-sharpshooter is working out diligently, that two teams have expressed interest in him, that he got a call from one head coach last week and will meet soon with senior NFL officials.

Move over, 'COPS'

HBO's popular series "Hard Knocks," may feature "Hard Time" this summer. The 24-man film crew will descend upon the Bengals' training camp in Georgetown, Ky., with the results scheduled to start airing Aug. 12.

It's not known how many members of that crew will stake out the Georgetown police station.

Cincinnati has added defensive tackle Tank Johnson this year. He brings his arsenal (of talents, that is) with him from the Dallas Cowboys, who starred on the inside-look-at-training-camp show last summer.

Wonder if HBO got a promise from the Bengals they would not trade Chad Ochocinco (that's how his last name will appear on his jersey this season) before it agreed to make them the focus of the show. Let's face it, without Ochocinco, the show might be "Muchostinco."

Feagles 17 again

Giants punter Jeff Feagles is sporting his old No. 17 jersey, the one he gave up to Plaxico Burress in exchange for an outdoor kitchen that Feagles still is waiting for.

The Giants did not want to assign Burress' old number to either of their high draft pick wide receivers, not wanting to place undo pressure upon them.

So first-round pick Hakeem Nicks will wear No. 18, which Feagles sported after Burress arrived in 2005. The Giants' punter thinks it's ironic a former North Carolina player will be getting his old number since his son, C.J., will be joining the Tar Heels' program this fall.

This is the third time Feagles has switched numbers with the Giants . He gave up his original No. 10 to Eli Manning in 2004 in exchange for a family vacation ? which he did receive.

Prospect has cancer

Mark Herzlich would have been a high draft pick last month had the linebacker decided to leave Boston College after his junior season. He decided to remain in school, but now that seemingly important decision is trivial in his world.

Herzlich announced Thursday he has been diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a malignant tumor usually found in bone or soft tissue.

He had been experiencing some pain in his left leg and tests revealed the tumor is located in that area.

Each year about 250 children and adolescents are diagnosed with this type of cancer, treatment for which can range from chemotherapy or radiation therapy to surgery and in some extreme cases, amputation of the affected appendage.

The ACC's Defensive Player of the Year is one of those hard-nosed linebackers who would translate well into an NFL defense. He had 110 tackles and six interceptions for the Eagles last season.
