Vick was released from federal prison Wednesday after spending 19 months behind bars for financing a dogfighting operation. Vick will spend two months in home confinement before his release on July 20.
He could face added punishment from the NFL, but for now he remains under contract with Atlanta. Falcons owner Arthur Blank has said Vick will not play for his team again. Coach Wade Phillips was with Vick for two seasons and was Atlanta's interim head coach in 2003.
"I think on a league level as well as any club that does step up and answer that, that's they're decision," Jones said. "I just have to worry about the Cowboys ."
Surgery for Stanback: Isaiah Stanback had surgery Thursday to repair a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee suffered in Tuesday's organized team activity workout. He will probably be out until training camp begins on July 28.
Stanback was coming off major foot surgery when the Cowboys drafted him in the fourth round in 2007 out of Washington and has had shoulder operations the last two off-seasons.
"I'm sorry for him, but I'm glad he's got the time that he's got," Jones said. "I know that it's frustrating to him, but he works hard. He'll be back out there. ... I think he'll make a good account of himself in camp."
Stanback is competing for a wide receiver spot behind Roy Williams, Patrick Crayton, Miles Austin and Sam Hurd.
DeCamillis amazes: Joe DeCamillis' return to the practice field - even in a limited basis - for the OTAs caught everybody's attention this week, including Jones'.
"That, by any definition, shows his resolve," Jones said. "Now I know firsthand what a miracle it is that he didn't get paralyzed. It was a rare set of circumstances that kept him from being paralyzed. For him to be out there that soon, I'm going to quit worrying about my back problems."
Briefly: Free-agent safety Keith Davis signed with Oakland on Thursday. Davis, who grew up in Italy, Texas, led the Cowboys with 20 special teams tackles in 2008. He started nine games at strong safety and had 40 tackles.
