CARROLLTON - The Cowboys inch closer to training camp with their only mandatory outing of the off-season - a three-day minicamp starting Monday at Carrollton's Standridge Stadium.

After Wednesday's double session, the Cowboys' next full-team get-together will be July 28, when they report to training camp in San Antonio. Practices will begin the next day.

The Cowboys finished four weeks of organized team activities last Wednesday and have had a number of players miss practice time because of what coach Wade Phillips has called minor leg injuries.

Wide receivers Miles Austin (hamstring) and Sam Hurd (quadriceps) have missed most of the last two weeks, giving rookies Manuel Johnson, Kevin Ogletree and Julian Hawkins more practice time.

Defensive end Jason Hatcher, who had knee surgery, is expected to practice for the first time this off-season but on a limited basis. Guard Kyle Kosier, who had foot surgery last season, will return during training camp.

Also, outside linebacker Victor Butler and cornerback Mike Mickens, both of them rookies, will get their first taste of full-squad workouts after being unable to attend the OTAs because their colleges were still in session.
