Chad Ochocinco says he wants to tweet during games, but the NFL says it already has a rule in place against it.

"We already have a rule that prohibits the use of cell phones or other handheld devices in the bench area during games," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told profootballtalk.com in an e-mail.

Previously the league had said it would look into the issue after hearing of the brash Bengals' wideout's plans.

Former Falcons coach Jim Mora was fined $25K for using a cellphone on the sidelines during a loss to Tampa Bay on Dec. 24, 2005.

There's still some hope for NFL Twitter fanatics — there's no word yet on what will be allowed in the locker rooms at halftime.

Speaking of Ochocinco and Twitter, he posted this message to his feed last night: "Question? If I tweet during the game and they suspend me, would I get paid during my suspension since it's not a legal issue?"

It wouldn't come as a big shock if he finds out sometime this season.
