--Ravens wide receiver Derrick Mason openly criticized the officials and insinuated that the Ravens aren't being treated fairly by them.

"I mean NFL, (NFL head of officiating) Mike Pereira, you need to really see about what's going on at that game," Mason said. "(Commissioner Roger) Goodell, you can fine me if you want to. But it's getting ridiculous with the non-calls."

Mason added, "I can see if it happens once or twice. But it seems like with us, it happens every time and we never seem to get the call. Do we make an excuse for it? No, we don't. You have to point it out if it happens more than two or three times. I don't think we get the just due. Every time, they come up with a lame excuse like, 'We didn't see it.' But you're supposed to be covering that side of the field. I can't get frustrated in a situation like that. I got to move on and go to the next play."

--Linebacker-defensive end Terrell Suggs could return to the starting lineup Sunday after missing the past three games with a sprained knee.

"We're hopeful that we'll get Terrell back this week," coach John Harbaugh said. "It's not a given by any stretch. But there is a chance."

In his first comments regarding Suggs since a restraining order was issued against the Pro Bowl linebacker, Harbaugh said he has talked to Suggs about the legal issue.

"He came up and explained it to me thoroughly his perspective on it," Harbaugh said. "I understand the schedule going forward as far as what he has to deal with from a personal standpoint. We worked it out as far as the way it'll affect his personal responsibilities here with the Ravens. That's where we're at with it. The rest of it, he's going to deal with that from a personal perspective."

--Ray Rice's streak of eight consecutive games with at least 100 yards from scrimmage came to an end Monday night in the Ravens' 27-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers. In fact, the running back's combined 71 yards (54 rushing, 17 receiving) marked a season low.

Part of the problem was the Ravens' inability to avoid falling into a deficit. Once in a hole, the offense was forced to abandon the run, rushing the ball just five times out of 17 offensive plays.

"There were a lot of running lanes, and we could have run the ball a lot against them," said Rice, who has fewer than 100 yards from scrimmage just twice this season. "But it's hard to run the ball when you're playing from behind. I broke one in the second half. There were running lanes, but when you're playing from behind, it's easy to just sit back and cover."

--The Ravens will face a backup quarterback for the second time in three weeks when they play the Detroit Lions and Daunte Culpepper. It was just a couple of weeks ago when the Ravens played Pittsburgh's Dennis Dixon, who filled in for injured starter Ben Roethlisberger.

BY THE NUMBERS: 90 -- Penalties by the Ravens this season, which ranks only behind Green Bay. The Ravens had a season-worst 12 penalties (including five pass interferences) at Green Bay on Monday.
