Favre's status for Monday unclear
The Post has learned that Favre texted a USA Today reporter that he doubts he will be able to play against the Giants, thus ending his NFL-record 297 consecutive starts streak.
“I don't think it will be 2 bad,” Favre wrote, according to the report. “'U know what I kinda look forward to just chillin for a change.”
The Vikings-Giants game was delayed 30 hours -- first after the Giants’ plane could not land in Minneapolis, followed by the collapse of the Metrodome’s roof Sunday morning after more than a foot of snow fell on the Twin Cities.
Favre is recuperating from a severe sprain in his throwing shoulder that knocked him out of action last week against the Buffalo Bills. The 41-year-old gunslinger has been unable to throw in practice all week and remains a question mark officially as to whether he can play against the Giants.
