Tampa Bay running back Doug Martin is sitting out Thursday night's game against Carolina because of a left shoulder injury. The Buccaneers also are without safety Dashon Goldson, who is inactive with a sore knee.

Martin and Goldson both were injured during last Sunday's 31-23 loss at Atlanta. Tampa Bay's other inactives are guards Carl Nicks and Patrick Omameh, receiver Chris Owusu, running back Jeff Demps and defensive tackle Derek Landri.

Carolina's inactives include receivers Tavarres King and Marvin McNutt, cornerback Josh Thomas, running back Armond Smith, tight end Brandon Williams, and defensive tackles Dwan Edwards and Sione Fua.
