Ratliff, Bears agree to terms on deal

The Bears are getting some much-needed assistance at the defensive tackle position.

Former Pro Bowler Jay Ratliff, who was released by the Cowboys in October, has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Chicago, according to a source. ESPN’s Ed Werder first had the story.

Ratliff reportedly also received interest from the Chiefs, Dolphins and Bengals.

Henry Melton was lost to a season-ending injury ACL injury in September. There isn’t a specific timetable for when Ratliff will return, but his presence up front will be big for the Bears down the stretch.
