Colts take Utah St RB Williams

INDIANAPOLIS (AP)

The Indianapolis Colts have selected Utah State running back Kerwynn Williams in the 7th round of the NFL draft.

The 5-foot-8, 189-pound Williams was the 230th overall pick Saturday, and the Colts' first offensive player taken outside the offensive line.

Williams scored 15 touchdowns for Aggies as a senior and rushed for 100 yards seven times. He had two 200-yard rushing games and averaged 6.58 yards per carry last season. Along with rushing, Williams was a receiver and kickoff and punt returner for the Aggies.

Indy selected defensive end Bjoern Werner, offensive linemen Hugh Thornton and Khaled Holmes, defensive tackle Montori Hughes and safety John Boyett with their first five picks.
