plotlines, from Dallas taking the next step, McNabb's
Redskins vs. Philly and the sleeping Giants.

 There's all kinds of angst in this division,
from Belichick vs. Parcells, plus the shy one himself --
Rex Ryan and the bold, brash Jets.

 He's back; shock, right? But Favre's hurting
(as are his weapons), leaving his former Packers backup
jacked for a shot at a division title.

 Cincy pulled off the unthinkable 6-0 in
division in '09. Good luck this time, with the Ravens amped
on offense and Steelers lurking.

 The Saints try to pull off the repeat. But
they'll get quite a challenge from Atlanta with Matt Ryan
hoping to become an elite QB.

 Have the Colts recovered from losing in the
Super Bowl? They'd better have, with the Titans and Texans
emerging as threats.

 Without Warner and Leinart, the Cards turn
to Derek Anderson. Yes,
Derek Anderson. This leaves the 49ers a golden
opportunity.

 The Chargers are still the class of the
division. But more transition in Denver opens up a shot for
the Chiefs and Raiders to challenge.
