needs 93 yards to run past Walter Payton and into the record books as the NFL¿s all-time leading rusher. The historic moment could come Sunday afternoon when Dallas hosts the Seattle at Texas Stadium. We asked running backs around the league their thoughts on Smith and what he¿s about to accomplish. We¿ll post what they had to say in the days leading up to Sunday¿s game. First up is Indianapolis¿ . JAMES: ¿Me, personally, I¿ll be happy when he breaks the record. But I would like for him, after he breaks the record, to give us a chance. ¿I read where he¿s talking about staying around long enough for 20,000 yards. I mean, I would have to be playing forever. ¿When you say you want to be one of the best, if you don¿t look at what the best has done and chase that right there, you can¿t say you want to be one of those guys. You¿ve got to look at that and say, that¿s what the best has done. That¿s about to be Emmitt. ¿I think the most impressive thing about him is that he¿s been able to play a long time and is still doing well. He¿s real consistent. And tough. Durable. But I would expect that from a Florida kid. ¿Once he breaks the record I want to tell him congratulations, now chill on out. Go work for the studio or something. ¿Now, the only thing we¿ve got to do is try to get Emmitt out of the game. He¿s trying to make it hard on us.¿¿ CHASING SWEETNESS:
