Published Jun. 13, 2011 1:00 a.m. ET

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has kept himself busy during the NFL lockout by getting his own record label off the ground, KRCR-TV reported Monday.

The label is called Suspended Sunrise Recordings and he has been working with a band called The Make from his native Chico, Calif.

While Rodgers filmed a video with the band at a bowling club in Paradise, Calif. on Sunday he spoke about his passion for music.

"This is the first step in the process," the 27-year-old Super Bowl XLV MVP said.

"My business partner and I have been working for a couple of years trying to put this whole thing together. We're excited about starting the process, to see what happens with this band. Obviously football is my first priority, music is my passion after that."
