Jay Cutler, Kristin Cavallari dating?

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was maligned last season for his propensity to throw picks. But it's his apparent romantic pick that's making headlines in the days leading up to the 2010 season opener.

The 27-year-old Cutler was allegedly seen cozying up to "The Hills" and "Laguna Beach" star Kristin Cavallari recently at a Chicago bar.

Gossip blogger Perez Hilton reported that Cutler and Cavallari, who has family in the Chicago area,  were spotted together at Angels and Kings nightclub, a Gold Coast hot spot owned by Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy fame.

E! Online is also reporting that Cutler met Cavallari's mom after a recent preseason game, and that the two were "kissing all night" at the club.

"I find it funny," Cutler told Chicago Sun-Times reporter Sean Jensen. "That stuff, you just have to laugh about. I had dinner with her, and that was pretty much about it."

Cutler, who tossed career season highs of 27 touchdowns and 26 interceptions in 2009, has had a rocky preseason working under new offensive coordinator Mike Martz's system. In three games, he's 19-37 for 275 yards with a touchdown and two picks.

Cavallari, who was previously linked to Arizona Cardinals QB Matt Leinart, is currently working on her acting career.
