Former Baylor player Robert Griffin has been cut. No, not that one.

Griffin, who blocked for Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III at Baylor and was New York's sixth-round draft pick. He is not related to the Redskins quarterback chosen No. 2 overall in the draft.
Quarterback Matt Simms, the son of Phil Simms, also was released. He was not expected to earn the third-string job ahead of Greg McElroy.
Other cuts were safety D'Anton Lynn, defensive backs LeQuan Lewis and Julian Posey; defensive end Jay Richardson; linebackers Brett Roy and Marcus Dowtin; nose tackle Martin Tevaseu; receivers Eron Riley and Joseph Collins; guard Fredrick Koloto; center Matt Kroul; tight end Tarren Lloyd; and punter Spencer Lanning.
