One of the top interior offensive line prospects in next week’s NFL draft is well on his way to fully recovering from a serious foot injury.

FOXSports.com has learned that Wake Forest guard Joe Looney has received a positive medical report about the Lisfranc foot injury he suffered in January at the Senior Bowl.

Looney is expected to receive full clearance by mid-June to resume all football activities. Videos posted on Youtube.com show that Looney has already started running and jumping.

The foot injury forced Looney to miss drills at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

The 6-foot-3, 315-pound Looney graded out as Wake Forest’s top offensive lineman in 2011. Looney is projected as a likely mid-round draft pick.
