Kyle Arrington announced on his Twitter account (@Arrington24_7) that he has re-signed with the Patriots.

“Thankful and Blessed for another opportunity,” Arrington wrote. “Extremely grateful for all the support from the NE community and beyond.”

The Boston Herald first reported that Arrington had signed a four-year deal.

Arrington, 26, has started 40 of a possible 48 games the past three seasons. Arrington had seven interceptions in 2011 but didn’t record any last season.

Aqib Talib, who started for New England last year following a midseason trade with Tampa Bay, remains an unrestricted free agent.
