Light inactive for Pats after pregame ankle injury

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP)

Left tackle Matt Light is inactive for the New England Patriots after suffering an ankle injury in pregame warmups.

Light, an 11-year veteran who has had a strong season protecting quarterback Tom Brady, was hurt before Saturday's game against the Miami Dolphins.

The Patriots are without two other starters for the seventh straight game, safety Patrick Chung with a foot problem and linebacker Brandon Spikes with a knee injury. Also inactive for the Patriots are tackle Sebastian Vollmer, defensive lineman Ron Brace, running back Shane Vereen and quarterback Ryan Mallett.

For the Dolphins, starting tight end Anthony Fasano is out with a concussion. Also inactive for Miami are running back Steve Slaton, tackle Will Barker, guards Ryan Cook and Ray Feinga, defensive end Ryan Baker and quarterback Pat Devlin.
