QUESTION — Rob from Tulsa, Okla, on the Braylon Edwards trade from Cleveland to the N.Y. Jets: "Please give me your take on him with the Jets." Jay Glazer: I know Braylon Edwards is pretty much the happiest human being on the planet right about now, and I'd say that Chansi Stuckey is pretty much the saddest. Braylon's always been wanting to play in a big city like the Big Apple for his whole career — wanting to be that high-profile guy. He's certainly a deep threat, but has had problems with dropped passes — he's basically had a case of the yips. Hopefully the Jets can do a better job than the Browns of finding a cure. But once again, the Jets get a great value and a heck of a deal in working a trade with Cleveland. And what's up with Eric Mangini — he gets fired from the Jets, then he keeps helping the Jets? QUESTION — MikeRod15 from Jay's Twitter page, on the Giants: "Will Eli Manning play on Sunday?" Jay Glazer: Eli may not look like it with his demeanor on the field, but he's one of toughest players in this league. He plays with just about anything, and often he's taking a beating in the pocket, but just keeps getting up. There's a better chance of Pacman Jones winning the NFL Man of the Year award than Eli Manning sitting out this Sunday.

QUESTION — Dan from Morton, IL, on the Cardinals "Do you think the Arizona Cardinals have the talent to come back and win the NFC West?" Jay Glazer: I don't think the Cardinals are as physical a team as the 49ers. I don't think the Niners' personnel is as good as Arizona's, but right now Arizona doesn't have the same physicality that the 49ers are showing. One thing we all get away from at times, it's still a game of violence. And right now the 49ers are much more violent than anyone in that division. QUESTION — Tom from Lakeport, Tex., on the Cowboys "Do you think the Cowboys will make a coaching change? Maybe get someone a little more aggressive, like Jon Gruden?" Jay Glazer: Yes, I do believe there will be a coaching change there provided Dallas doesn't go deep into the playoffs. The one interesting thing in Dallas — I know the Jones boys have been as prepared as anyone with the looming CBA negotiations in case of a lockout — it will be interesting to see if they are interested in one of the big-name head coaches out there for all that cash. Or do they instead go after a guy who recently had his chance elsewhere, or maybe a younger assistant, to try to save themselves $4-6 million per year in salary? QUESTION — Paul Monia from Brick, N.J., on Jim Fassel "Jay, how come a good offensive and QB mind like Jim Fassel can't get another head-coaching job in the NFL?" Jay Glazer: The NFL's a political place, and Jim has some guys who have certainly trashed his name around the league. But also, the window has just closed for him right now. He hasn't done anything very successfully in this league for a number of years. Meanwhile, all these young coaches or long-time assistants that have come up the ranks have proven they can also do the job well, like Mike Tomlin in Pittsburgh, Mike Smith in Atlanta, Rex Ryan now with the Jets, etc. People in the league now wanna go for the new kid on block. Jim's a good dude, and he certainly has a good offensive mind. Hopefully coaching in the UFL can raise his stock to get another gig, at least as an OC in the NFL. QUESTION — C suber from Spencer, N.C., on the Raiders: "Cut the current bum (J. Russell) and bring back Jeff Garcia and let us win baby! Why don't they sit Russell?" Jay Glazer: I DON'T KNOW. Because they're the Raiders. Do you really need an explanation? QUESTION — Kelly Kadla from Edmonton, Canada, on Brett Favre: "Since Favre is only two years removed from being runner-up for MVP & that U were a very vocal critic of Favre retirement wavering, though it is only Week 4, R U yet humbled, & R U in favor of Favre's return 'cos UR full of eating crow?" Jay Glazer: No, I never had a problem with his coming back, but just the way it happened and the circus he turned it into — from the accusations with his former bosses, the Greta interview, the constant daily soap opera ... In my mind, he's the Lou Gehrig of the NFL, and he always has been. I just wish that he would have handled the whole thing differently. He didn't need to hurt and turn an entire city that loved him into a three-ring circus. For the long-term, I don't think anyone wouldn't argue that Aaron Rodgers isn't the right guy for the Packers' future. But I'd also have to say that Favre is the perfect guy for Minnesota. And you know what, regardless of how big that circus became, there's nothing more exciting than getting to see a pass like he threw two weeks ago against the Niners. More than anything, I'm a fan of good football and great storylines, and I'm glad that this chapter will be his final one and not the soap opera of what was to be his final farewell. QUESTION — John Sherman from Endicott, N.Y., on the Seahawks: "Is there a chance the Seahawks will pick up a QB before the trade deadline ends, like Brady Quinn?" Jay Glazer: If I were either Seattle, St. Louis or Carolina — teams that need a QB for the future, I'd call and try to trade for Brady Quinn. I would. I don't know if Cleveland would be willing to deal him, but it doesn't make sense to keep a young QB and not let him take his lumps on the field. If you have a young QB, let him grow. Let him take his lumps out there. Otherwise he's just a waste. If they can get something from him, go for it. QUESTION — ricemobile from Jay's Twitter page, on Rampage Jackson's UFC retirement: "A true pioneer Chuck is. How's the reaction for Rampage hanging it up. More of shock??" Jay Glazer: Personally, everyone I've talked to inside the game told me he had to take the shot. It was a big opportunity, there were all kinds of bells and whistles, benefits, action figures, etc. He had to do it. I was talking with Dana White recently, and obviously at the UFC they're not too happy about it and neither was Rashad Evans, who has had Quinton on the brain for quite some time. Business-wise, it's a great move. He's a showman, and will have everyone cracking up. I'm actually pretty happy for him, because when something like this happens people realize that these guys are not a bunch of barbarians dragging their knuckles. They're very charismatic, and often very educated. So when something happens in the mainstream, it helps out the sport. It may not help the UFC, but it helps the sport in general with the educational process — helping to educate those MMA naysayers who don't know enough about it.
