The Miami Dolphins have been holding talks with free-agent quarterbacks David Garrard and Jake Delhomme, the NFL Network reported Tuesday.

The 0-4 Dolphins are exploring the possibility of adding depth at the quarterback position with starter Chad Henne suffering from a shoulder injury, according to the report.

So far, neither of the two veteran free agents have been able to come to terms on a deal with the team, sources told NFL Network.

The Dolphins were continuing their pursuit of Garrard on Tuesday, sources said. He is believed to be on the radar of several teams.

Garrard, who was cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars just before the start of the regular season, started 58 of 64 games for the Jaguars over the past four seasons. He passed for 2,734 yards and 23 touchdowns while throwing 15 interceptions in 2010.

Delhomme served as a backup for the Cleveland Browns last year after playing seven seasons with Carolina, where he led the Panthers to a Super Bowl appearance in 2003.
