NFL BOOTLEG: Antonio Bryant's not happy

Antonio Bryant, Pitt standout WR and recent Dallas Cowboy draftee, was a projected first-round pick. He went in the late second round, #63 overall.
And he's pissed — at the media. From the Pitt Trib-Revue:
"You tell me why I wasn't taken early," Bryant said yesterday from his home in Miami. "I never used drugs. I was never academically ineligible. I've never done anything that got me into big trouble. I don't know why this happened. There were guys taken ahead of me who had done some seriously bad things during their life and it didn't affect them.
Bryant was knocked by analysts and the like for his alleged attitude problems. But he can take a hit — unlike the Cowboys' web site, which couldn't handle the web traffic yesterday.
One other Bryant thing of note: the Pitt Trib-Revue likes Antwaan Randle El, the guy who was taken by the Steelers in lieu of (and one pick before) Bryant. You just know this is going to hang over the heads of the Steelers for years.
THE DISTILLERY
National Felons League: Cardinal WR Daryl Boston had a breakout year in 2001 (98 receptions for 1,598 yards and eight TDs). Now he may have to break out of somewhere else: prison. (No, not really. He was only charged with misdemeanors.) Boston was found coked up and high while driving around Phoenix. No alcohol was found in his system, but the coke and pot are enough to get him cited with DUI and a related cause. No word yet on a (likely) NFL suspension. ... The Bay Verde re-signed NT Gilbert Brown and TE Tyrone Davis. ... Dem Cowboys re-inked TE Mike Lucky to a one-year, $563K (vet-minimum) salary. This reminds us of the old adage: 'Tis better to get lucky than to be good. ... Running with Wild Concoctions: Mark Woods of the Florida Times-Union says hey, Jimmy Johnson may be a GM soon. ... Expect no more WRs to enter the 'Skins camp. That means Michael Westbrook is as good as gone. ... The Cincy QB Parade continues. Next guy? Gus Fretotte. He'll visit the Bengals today. ... The Chiefs will likely release WR Derrick Alexander on 6/1 for cap reasons, and the Vikings are mulling a signing. ... The Bucs are still looking for a punter. We hear Tawny Kitaen can do some kickin', and she's about to be released from a long-term contract.
