Resolution appears to be on the horizon regarding Matt Jones' possible three-game suspension for violation of the NFL drug policy. Jones' appeal of the suspension will be heard in a Dec. 4 hearing, according to agent Allan Herman, and a decision could come the following week. "We'll see how it goes," Herman said. "I'm not going to speculate about how it will go." Arrested and charged with felony cocaine possession in July, Jones entered a drug program in Fayetteville, Ark., last month that could erase the felony charges if he satisfies the requirements of the program. Jones must complete 136 hours of therapy in the program, in addition to 30 hours of community service and undergo at least 78 random drug tests. Jones, the club's leading receiver, received a letter from the league informing him of the suspension a week after he was accepted into the drug program. The NFL suspension can't go into effect until Jones' appeal is heard. Jones said he's looking forward to any decision at this point. "I knew it was going to happen, it was just a matter of when," Jones said. "So I'll go up there [to New York for the hearing]. I'm just looking forward to putting it behind me and moving on." A ROUGH DAY FOR PASHOS The Jaguars were penalized eight times for 81 yards on Sunday. Right tackle Tony Pashos accounted for nearly half of that yardage. Pashos was flagged for holding four times. One penalty was declined after the Vikings recorded a sack anyway. In all, the Jacksonville offensive line was called for holding six times. "We were sloppy from start to finish," Pashos said. "It was pure sloppiness. Disputing the calls doesn't get me anywhere. I can't change anything about the calls. They called them and I'm ashamed of them." CAREER-HIGH FOR GARRARD Quarterback David Garrard passed for a career-high 317 yards against Minnesota, but tossed only one touchdown pass and had two interceptions. Garrard completed 27 of 45 and also set a career high for pass attempts. But he finished the game with a passer rating of 70.3 and he wasn't happy afterward. "We've got to be able to continue to fight for the full 60 minutes," Garrard said. "That was the [kind of] day we were having and nobody feels worst than I do." Vikings' PETERSON DISCIPLINED The absence of Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson from the first two series on Sunday was punishment for being late Saturday to a team meeting. Peterson and cornerback Cedric Griffin -- who was also late -- were punished for "the first couple of series," according to Vikings coach Brad Childress. "It was a coach's decision," Peterson said. "It was one series, so it's not that big. I understood it and it's over and done.'' Peterson finished the game with 80 yards rushing and a touchdown. Chester Taylor also had a rushing touchdown. ETC. Jaguars linebacker Brian Iwuh appeared to suffer a mild concussion in the first half, but in the locker room, he didn't appear to be suffering from any ill effects from the blow to the head. Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio said he didn't have an update on Iwuh's condition after the game.... CBs Will James and Omare Lowe were inactive for Sunday's game along with RB Chauncey Washington, LB Thomas Williams, C Drew Miller, G Milford Brown, DT Jimmy Kennedy and WR Troy Williamson. ... Team officials announced that 65,064 tickets were distributed for the game. ... The Jaguars offense hasn't scored in the second half of their last two games, which marks the first time that has happened since 2000. ... Jones caught four passes for 37 yards to increase his season total to 54 catches for 623 yards. Jones' 54 catches are the most by a Jaguar since Jimmy Smith caught 70 balls in 2005. ... DT John Henderson became the seventh player in franchise history to tally 100 career starts. ... For the first time since 2000, the Jags have lost four consecutive home games.
