Jets' Revis limited with tight hamstring

Published Sep. 16, 2010 1:00 a.m. ET

New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis was limited in practice with tightness in one of his hamstrings, but coach Rex Ryan expects him to play Sunday against the New England Patriots.

Ryan says Thursday that he's ''not overly concerned'' about the injury, but wants to ''err on the side of caution'' with his star player. Revis is expected to cover Randy Moss on Sunday, a role he successfully filled last season.

Ryan says the team's defensive strategy could be affected if Revis is not 100 percent, so he wants to be safe.

Revis missed all of training camp while holding out for 36 days in a contract dispute. He says he was in great shape coming into the season, and played well in the opener against Baltimore.
