Bills running back C.J. Spiller hurt his left ankle, and isn't sure if he'll be ready for Buffalo's short turnaround this week.

Also, the Baltimore Ravens could be down yet another receiver after Deonte Thompson was being evaluated for a possible concussion in a 23-20 loss to the Bills on Sunday. Coach John Harbaugh said it was too early to determine the severity of the injury because Thompson was still being tested.

Spiller said his ankle was sore, making it difficult to determine whether he would be available Thursday night, when Buffalo (2-2) travels to Cleveland (2-2).

''It's going to be tough, but I'm going to do everything on my end to be in a position to play,'' said Spiller, who played sporadically after being hurt early in the third quarter. ''I'll see how I feel in the morning.''

Spiller finished with 77 yards rushing against Baltimore. The Bills were also briefly missing backup running back Fred Jackson, who left the game with what the team called a knee injury in the third quarter. Jackson returned for the start of the fourth quarter.

Converted safety Aaron Williams couldn't finish the game because of a bruised back. The Bills were already minus both starting cornerbacks Leodis McKelvin (right hamstring) and Stephon Gilmore (broken left hand).

Coach Doug Marrone said he expected both Spiller and Jackson to be OK to play. He didn't provide an update on Williams' chances of playing.

The Ravens (2-2) have worries of their own given the already injury-thinned state at receiver. They are missing starting receiver Jacoby Jones (knee) and starting tight end Dennis Pitta (hip). Backup receiver Brandon Stokley didn't play Sunday because of a groin injury

Thompson was hurt in the fourth quarter after making a 33-yard catch along the right sideline. As he made the catch, Thompson was hit by safety Jim Leonhard, who was penalized for hitting a defenseless receiver.

Receiver Marlon Brown and cornerback Lardarius Webb both did not return after hurting their thighs. Harbaugh said both players were being evaluated.
